Don Wirz began growing potatoes in 1960. Then in 1964, Don joined the Wisconsin Certified Seed Potato Program and began growing all seed potatoes.

Currently, Wirz, Inc. grows approximately 300 acres of Foundation and Certified seed potatoes.
